Poll Result: PM Says “Thank You India” & World Leaders Congratulate him

Finally, after a long journey of PM Modi campaigning for Lok Sabha Elections 2019, counting of votes begun today morning.

It can be seen that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its lead campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi move inches closer towards victory.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter and wrote,

“Thank you India! The faith placed in our alliance is humbling and gives us strength to work even harder to fulfil people’s aspirations.

I salute every BJP Karyakarta for their determination, perseverance & hardwork. They went home to home, elaborating on our development agenda.”

He also tweeted,

“सबका साथ + सबका विकास + सबका विश्वास = विजयी भारत

Together we grow.

Together we prosper.

Together we will build a strong and inclusive India.

India wins yet again! #VijayiBharat”

Soon, international leaders have also begun congratulating their Indian counterpart at his iconic performance in the polls 2019.

To congratulate Prime Minister Modi on his return to power, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena was first who took to micro-blogging website Twitter and extended his wishes to the Prime Minister.

He wrote,

“Congratulations on your victory and the peoples re-endorsement of your leadership.
Sri Lanka looks forward to continuing the warm and constructive relationship with India in the future.@narendramodi”

Further, Prime Minister of Israel took to his official Twitter handle to congratulate Prime Minister Modi. He wrote,

“Congratulations, my friend @Narendramodi, on your impressive election victory! The election results further reaffirm your leadership of the world’s largest democracy. Together we will continue to strengthen the great friendship between India & Israel.
Well done, my friend! 🇮🇱🤝🇮🇳”

Raveesh Kumar, the Official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), also took to his official Twitter handle to announce that ‘Xi Jinping,’ Chinese President, has congratulated PM Modi in a letter.

The letter reads,

“noted the great importance he attached to the development of India-China relations and his desire to work with the PM Modi to take the Closer Development Partnership between the two countries to a new height.”

Kumar wrote,

“Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulates PM @narendramodi on the electoral victory under his leadership”

Abe Shinzo, Japanese Prime Minister, also sent a congratulatory letter to Indian PM.

Kumar tweeted,

“M of Japan @AbeShinzo called PM @narendramodi and congratulated him for the victory in the 2019 General Elections. Both leaders reiterated their commitment towards further strengthening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership ”

Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, also took to Twitter and wrote,

“Congratulations to PM @narendramodi on a strong mandate from the people of India. The government and the people of Afghanistan look forward to expanding cooperation between our two democracies in pursuit of regional cooperation, peace and prosperity for all of South Asia.”

In the list of international heads of state who have extended their compliments to the PM, The President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also added his name.

He wrote,

“Congratulations to PM @narendramodi on his historic victory in the Indian general elections. It is a strong affirmation of the Indian people’s confidence in the BJP/led government. I look forward to closer and enhanced ties of Maldives-India cooperation.”

Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa wrote,

“My heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi for his great electoral victory. Together, we will make sure that relations between #Portugal and #India will rise to a new level of friendship and cooperation in the next years.”

Prime Minister of Nepal wrote,

“I extend warmest congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi ji for landslide election victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. I wish all success ahead. I look forward to working closely with you. #PMOIndia”

Prime Minister of Bhutan also wrote,

“I, on behalf of the people of Bhutan, offer heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi @PMOIndia and his team on the election victory. As we look forward to working closely in years to come, we pray India achieves greater success under your leadership.”

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan also took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi. He wrote,

“I congratulate Prime Minister Modi on the electoral victory of BJP and allies. Look forward to working with him for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia”

Even though the final results will be declared only by late evening, there is no much doubt that who will become the Prime Minister. Hence, a big congratulations to Mr. Narendra Modi for becoming Prime Minister again.
