100 Days of Modi 2.0: “Big Changes in Country,” Says PM Narendra Modi

After 50 days of Modi Govt 2.0, yesterday, the government has marked its first 100 days at the Centre.

During a rally in Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about his 100-day work and said his government completed the first 100 days with “development, trust, and big changes.” Following that, he said that the first 100 days were a result of “decisive decision making, clean governance, and people’s resolve.” He further added all such decisions are taken in the interest of the public.

“ये 100 दिन, विकास के रहे हैं, विश्वास के रहे हैं, देश में बड़े परिवर्तन के रहे हैं।

ये 100 दिन, निर्णय के रहे हैं, निष्ठा के रहे हैं, नेक नीयत के रहे हैं।

ये 100 दिन, जन संकल्प के रहे हैं, जन सिद्धियों के रहे हैं, जनहित में सुधार के रहे हैं।”

He said,

“Whatever big decisions were taken in the past 100 days, inspiration behind them were 130 crore people of the country.”

Further while delivering the speech at a rally in Haryana’s Rohtak, PM Modi mentioned the amount of work that was done and the number of bills that were passed which had never happened in the past 60 years in any Parliament session.

Three key bills have been passed in this session – an amendment to the Right To Information Act, another one criminalizing triple talaq, and the amendment to Motor Vehicle laws that saw penalties for violators shoot up.

Later, the PM emphasized that there is an “ISRO spirit” in the country in the wake of the Chandrayaan-2 mission.

He said,

“An incident on Sept 7 galvanised the entire nation within 100 seconds. Now, there is an ISRO spirit in the country. The nation is not ready to accept negativity. The definition of success and failure has changed. The nation worships hard work and valour.”

The govt also declared the sweeping move in Jammu and Kashmir, in August, ending the special status of the state and bifurcating it into two union territories. Union Minister Amit Shah made this announcement in parliament, and the bills to bring it about were also passed.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said,

“Modi 2.0 in its first 100 days has made historic and landmark decisions and with speed. Ambition to achieve $5 trillion economy by 2025 has given a roadmap to the government. The theme is to empower the poor and the farmers… six crore workers and 14 crore farmers have benefited with pension and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) schemes.”

According to reports, 17 Union ministers are expected to present report cards of their ministries on September 9 and 10. They will hold press conferences in various parts of the country, including Jammu, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Mumbai.
