Washington: August 8th, 2017 – Chinese President Xi Jinping refers Narendra Modi as a leader who always stands up for his citizen’s interest.
Chinese Politician Xi Jinping sees Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an excellent leader to stand up for Indian experts and to collaborate with other countries that are forcing constraints on China. He fears when Modi joins other countries who are against China.
Bonnie S Glaser from CSIS in an interview told –
I think that Xi Jinping sees Prime Minister Modi as a leader who is willing to stand up for Indian interests and to work together with other countries in the region that are looking to impose constraints on China, and particularly the US and Japan, and that’s something, I think Beijing is worried about,” Bonnie S Glaser from Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
The director of the China power Project at CSIS cleared that China won’t benefit from a tightening relationship with India. The politician went away to Delhi to meet Mr. Modi thinking that the country won’t challenge China as it may be against Indian policy. But Xi Jinping was dejected after his meeting.
Glaser claimed that India is the only country to oppose One Road initiative and China’s One Belt.
Glaser made it all clear the both the countries do not aim for conflicts and the time period would further allow the countries to resolve the issues if any.
