According to the reports, PM Narendra Modi would visit Tripura twice to hold meetings after assembly elections. First, he would visit Tripura on 8th February; there he would address public meetings in Santirbazar and Kailashahar in Unakoti and South Tripura district respectively. After 8th Feb, he would again visit Tripura on 15th February to address a meeting in Agartala.
The BJP’s party national president Amit Shah would be in Tripura for a week to work in the favor of the BJP-Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) alliance. The results of the election that would be held on 18th Feb 2018 will be out on 3rd March.
The state BJP chief said –
“From Agartala, Mr. Shah would also visit Meghalaya and Nagaland, where Assembly polls would be held on February 27.”
Apart from Modi and Amit Shah, other BJP leaders including external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ad Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi would also show their presence in the campaigning.
