PM Modi Chairs Cabinet Meeting, Reforms Declared to Boost Infra of Sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday and took many landmark decisions. It would go a long way in boosting the infrastructure across multiple sectors that are crucial during the ongoing pandemic. Here are the three major announcements made yesterday:

1. Setting up of Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund
2. Declaration of Kushinagar Airport in UP as International Airport
3. Approval of additional investment by OVL for further development of Shwe oil & gas project in Myanmar

The PM tweeted on his official handle-

“During today’s Cabinet Meeting, landmark decisions have been taken aimed at accelerating economic growth, our strides in space as well as assisting our farmers, villages and small businesses. Crores of Indians will gain from the decisions.”

Also, regarding the approval of an interest subvention scheme for Shishu loan accounts under PMMY for MSME sector, he tweeted-

“Committed to a vibrant MSME Sector!

The Cabinet approved an interest subvention scheme for Shishu loan accounts under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. This scheme would provide valuable support and stability to small businesses.”

Also, on the establishment of Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, he wrote in his tweet-

“Setting up of the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund augurs well for the sector. It will boost the income of our hardworking farmers. Investment and sectoral infrastructure, especially in dairies will get an impetus.”

Moreover, the Union Cabinet approved reforms in the Space sector that aim to boost private sector participation in space-related activities. These decisions are aligned with the PM’s long-term vision of transforming India and making India self-reliant and technologically advanced.

Furthermore, the PM said that our country is among a few of those with advanced capabilities in the space sector. These reforms would offer new energy and dynamism to help the country achieve the next stages of space activities.

The reform would result in the accelerated growth of this sector & allow the Indian industry to become a pivotal player in the global space economy. It ould introduce opportunities for large-scale employment in the technology sector & help India become a global technology powerhouse.

PM Modi tweeted-

“The reform trajectory continues.

The Union Cabinet’s approval to reforms in the space sector is yet another step towards making our nation self-reliant and technologically advanced. The reforms will boost private sector participation as well.”
