New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with the 126 IPS probationary officers of the 2018 batch. Also, he attended the Indian Air Force at-home program and attended an exhibition on self-reliance.

While addressing the young police officers, PM Modi encouraged them to work tirelessly and dedicatedly towards the betterment of the country. He asked the officers to bring service orientation and dedication in their daily work.

Also, he emphasized the significance of the police force to stay connected with common citizens. He added that every officer should have an understanding of the citizens’ outlook towards the police force and the work needed to make the police force citizen-friendly.

He also mentioned the role that the police play in the transformation of aspirational districts and society. Also, he commended the great number of women probationers in the 2018 batch, saying that a higher number of women in the police force would lead to a tremendous positive impact on policing and nation-building.

The PM wished police officers the best for the future and asked them to practice self-belief. Besides, he said that they should have self-confidence and innate strength besides official training, which would equip the officers in tackling daily challenges.
