PM Modi Addresses ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ Program in Delhi

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge rally in Talkatora Stadium located in the national capital Delhi.

There while addressing, PM Modi expressed his confidence in winning the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019 and also stated that watchman is not a just a job recognized by a uniform, but it is the determination behind the word.

Modi interacted with people throughout the country via video conferencing amid chants of slogans ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar‘ at Talkotra Stadium.

He started his conversation talking about the Balakot air strikes and said that he has complete trust in the ability and disciple of armed forces and he knows what they can achieve.

He then indicated that Pakistan is in a dilemma. If they say something happened in Balakot, they will have to admit that,

“Yes, we had terrorist camps operating here.”

Then PM Modi mentioned the Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya’s comments where they have put the questions over conditions of jails in India. He said,

“Kuch log (loan defaulters and financial offenders) videsh ki adalaton mein jakar keh rahe hain ki Bharat ki jail ki sthiti aisi hai ki hum usmein reh nahi sakte. Toh ab unko mahal dain kya? Angrezon ne Gandhi ko jis jail mein rakha tha usse achhi jail thodi na dunga.”

Further, he stated that when in 2014, the BJP gave him the responsibility to visit every corner of the nation, the Prime Minister said,

“I told the people that the responsibility of Delhi means that you are trusting a watchman.”

Further, he said while addressing the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar‘ program,

“Once again, the people of the country are going to give us the opportunity to serve the country.”

Then taking a jibe at opposition parties, he said in the sarcastic tone that the people of the country do not want the “king.”

“Today the people are liking the Chowkidar.”

He continued,

“The teacher is a big caretaker (watchman). He protects the next generation. I salute such chowkidar.”

He added,

“If a teacher performs his duty, then the future of the student is secured. If a policeman performs his duty, the problems are resolved. And in that sense, public participation is the main reason for the success of my country.”

Then PM Modi mentioned his responsibility and said,

“I had said my effort would be not to allow the public money to be wasted. As a watchman, I will discharge my responsibility.”

He continued saying that he has tried his best to protect the nation’s wealth from the corrupt ever since he has been trusted with the responsibility to lead the nation.

He added,

“We are all Chowkidars, committed to a strong and prosperous India.”

He said we all need to be Chowkidar to build a strong government, and also we need to work in the spirit of chowkidar to take the nation forward.

Not only he addressed but, PM Modi also appreciated as well as respond to several questions sat to him by different people, supporters who attended the video-conferencing.

Apart from local people residents, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, and Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh also attended the campaign via video-conferencing.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were among others who attended the campaign via video conferencing.
