#IndiaFightsCorona: PM Seeks Tech-Based Solutions for COVID-19 Solution Challenge

New Delhi: Due to the continuously growing cases of Coronavirus pandemic across India, the government is taking various measures to reduce its spread and impact by asking people not to panic and also creating awareness regarding precautions the should adopt. So far, the reported cases of COVID 19 across India are 129 and 183,000+ around the world.

On Monday, PM Modi launched COVID-19 Solution Challenge, urged the public to participate in the same, and encouraged them to share technology-driven innovative solutions to combat COVID-19 on MyGov. The top three winners would be rewarded with prize money worth Rs. 1 lac, Rs. 50,000, and Rs. 25,000.

Moreover, he tweeted on his official handle-

“Harnessing innovation for a healthier planet.

A lot of people have been sharing technology-driven solutions for COVID-19.

I would urge them to share them on @mygovindia. These efforts can help many. #IndiaFightsCorona”

On the MyGov Innovation’s official website, a statement regarding the COVID 19 Solution Challenge reads-

“The most important factor in preventing the spread of the Virus locally is to empower the citizens with the right information and taking precautions as per the advisories being issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Further, we are also getting inputs with regard to individuals and companies who have developed technologies and innovative solutions, bioinformatics, datasets, Apps for diagnosis, etc that can be leveraged for strengthening the fight against Corona.”

It further adds-

“In order to involve the community in the fight against the Virus, we would want you to share your solutions to help fight #Coronavirus. Submitted solutions will be evaluated for adoption and those selected will be suitable rewarded.

Be a part of the mission against Coronavirus.”

Earlier, in another tweet, the PM mentioned how people of different walks of life are helping combat COVID 19-

“Many people are highlighting different aspects of how India is combating COVID-19.

This is certainly boosting the morale of all those doctors, nurses, municipal workers, airport staff and all other remarkable people at the forefront of fighting COVID-19. #IndiaFightsCorona”

Further, he shared different people’s tweets on how healthcare professionals, municipal workers, airport staff, and others are at the forefront of fighting Corona and replied by quoting their tweets individually.

Also, on Sunday, PM Modi led a video conference with leaders of SAARC nations and exchanged views on ways to tackle the pandemic. PM Modi went on to propose COVID-19 Emergency Fund and seeking voluntary contributions from nations, where India made an initial offer of $10 million towards the same.

Besides that, amid the Coronavirus scare, PM Modi canceled his Holi program earlier and penned a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping, offering assistance to deal with the coronavirus.
